Physiotherapy in endometriosis

Endometriosis is treated medically and surgically — physiotherapy improves quality of life and reduces pain alongside that treatment.

Endometriosis is the presence of the lining of the uterus outside the uterine cavity. It most often affects women between 30 and 40. Its causes remain, so far, a matter of hypothesis. According to some studies, endometriosis causes painful periods in as many as 80% of cases and difficulty conceiving in 25–50%.

Endometriosis is treated only pharmacologically or surgically. Treatment can be supported by an appropriate diet and preventive care, and quality of life can be improved with manual techniques and exercise.
