Sexual dysfunction in women

Therapy for painful intercourse - dyspareunia, vulvodynia, vestibulodynia and vaginismus. Work on pelvic floor tension, scars and the fear of pain.

Pain during intercourse is not something you have to live with, and it is not “in your head”. Most often it comes from excessive pelvic floor tension, a painful scar after birth or surgery, changes in the vaginal vestibule, or an established protective reflex - the muscles tighten in anticipation of pain, the pain grows because of it, and the tension increases further.

Therapy breaks that cycle from both sides: it releases the muscles and teaches conscious relaxation, while rebuilding trust in your own body. You set the pace - nothing is forced, because therapy pushed against a protective reflex only entrenches it.

I work with women at every stage of life: after birth, after gynaecological surgery, through menopause, and with those for whom pain accompanied their first attempts at intercourse. Where the cause calls for gynaecological or dermatological treatment or psychotherapy, I say so plainly and work together with those specialists.
